Welcome to PoTayto Picks (potaytopicks.com). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

1. What this site is

PoTayto Picks is a free guides-and-deals site for readers across Australia. We write guides, and we'll point out deals once we have them. We don't sell anything, take payments or hold your order details. When you buy, you buy from the retailer or service, not from us.

2. General information only

Everything on the site is general information. It isn't financial, legal, medical or other professional advice, and it doesn't take your personal circumstances into account. Please talk to a qualified professional about your own situation. For health matters, talk to your GP or another health professional. For pet medicines, ask your vet.

3. Affiliate links

We don't have any affiliate links yet. When we do, we'll label every one and we may earn a commission when you buy through it. It won't change the price you pay. We explain more on our Affiliate Disclosure page.

4. Prices, deals and availability

Prices, stock and offers change often and can differ by state, store and time. We don't list state-specific prices. Always check the final price, delivery and terms on the retailer's own site before you buy. When we post fares and deals, each will show a "Last checked" time in Melbourne time, and a fare we haven't rechecked within 24 hours will be marked "Unverified". Error fares can be cancelled by the airline at any time.

5. Accuracy

We work hard to be accurate and we fix mistakes (see our Corrections page). Even so, information can be out of date or wrong by the time you read it. Please check important details with the retailer or provider.

6. Other websites

We link to retailers and other sites we don't run. We aren't responsible for their content, prices, products or privacy practices. Their own terms apply when you use them.

7. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can't be excluded. If you buy something from a retailer, your consumer guarantees are with that retailer.

8. Our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for loss or damage that comes from relying on the information on this site or from dealing with a retailer, airline or provider we link to. If a law says a guarantee or right can't be excluded, we don't exclude it, and where the law lets us limit our responsibility, we limit it to resupplying the information or paying the cost of having it resupplied.

9. Using the site

Please don't:

  • copy, scrape or republish our content in bulk without asking us first
  • try to break, overload or get unauthorised access to the site
  • use the site for anything unlawful or to send spam

You're welcome to quote short parts of our guides with a link back to us.

10. Our content

The words, graphics and design on the site belong to PoTayto Picks or are used with permission. Retailer and brand names belong to their owners. We use them only to say what they are, and they don't imply the owner endorses us.

11. The newsletter

We don't send a newsletter yet. If we start one, we'll follow the Spam Act 2003 and our Privacy Policy. We'll only email you after you confirm, and every email will have an unsubscribe link.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
